CONSULTATION

This is the beginning process of your beautiful project. We will come to your residence and discuss what you are wanting to do for your outdoor project. This is a great time for us to get a feel of what your are wanting your project to become. We also go over the entire building process with you from start to finish.
DESIGN

At this stage we put your ideas into a 3-D virtual design. This gives you a incredibly realistic rendering of your project before it is actually built. We combine your design and integrate it into your home and backyard. Once you approve the design and all revisions have been completed we then put the design into a layout form for the start of construction.
LAYOUT

This is the first stage of the construction process of your new Cantera Pool. At this point we have your design and will layout onto the proposed site. This will give you a actual idea of the size and shape of pool. With the layout in place you can be sure it's in the exact location you want your beautiful pool to be in. Once the location is finalized we can start with the excavation.
EXCAVATION

Once we have your approval on location of your new pool and all utility lines have been located we are ready to start excavation of your pool. We first start with the forming of your pool, this will be used to shape and structure of your pool. Once we have the forming in place we can break ground on your pool.
STEEL

The steel process serves as the framework for your pool with it's high structural integrity. You will see what appears to be a steel cage that is created for the specific contour of your pool. The steel is wired together and placed in intervals to provide strength within the structure of pool.
PLUMBING

While the steel process is coming to an end, the plumbing of your pool starts to take place. With all the work going on around the plumbing during the construction process we pressure up the plumbing. This is done to ensure the integrity of plumbing lines and peace of mind. We will keep all lines pressurized until we set equipment which will be done just before plaster of pool.
GUNITE

This is a process that you will not want to miss. A crew of experienced personnel apply the gunite using high-pressure hoses to create the tough inner shell of your pool. This is when your pool will take it's shape. We will ask you to assist in this process by applying water to the gunite shell daily for the next 5-7 days. This allows the outer surface areas of the gunite to cure at a rate more consistent with the inner part.
TILE AND COPING

While the gunite is curing we will start having the materials needed for tile and coping delivered to site. The tile will be placed in the interior of your pool and serve as your waterline tile. Your coping is the material installed on the top or "beam" of the structure. During this time all water falls and any other rock work will be done.
DECKING

This will be the perimeter area surrounding your pool. You have many options available to choose from for your finished product. Basic brushed concrete to decorative stamped and stained concrete, or even acrylic textured decking are just a few options to choose from. During this stage we can add outdoor fireplaces or firepits to your pool decking area.
ELECTRICAL

It is time to install all equipment and electrical needed for pool operation. All electrical work is provided by a Master electrician, following not only manufactures guidelines but city, state, and National Code requirements
PLASTER

This is your final step in the construction process of your new pool. This step is when your pool finish is applied to the gunite. We have experienced and hard working crews that smooth the surface to assure a beautiful finish. With the aggregate pool finish we mix in crushed oyster shell that will give a beautiful accent to bottom of pool. Once the plaster is applied and set up we immediately start filling with water. Once the pool is full it will need to be brushed for 5-7 days. This will ensure the smoothest surface possible.
START UP AND TRAINING

Cantera Pools will monitor your pool for the first 30 days after pool is full and all equipment is started up. During this time we will go through "pool school" with you and answer any questions you may have. This time is also so that you the customer can get comfortable with your new pool and feel confident with the pool equipment.
